Mrs. Celina Register
This will be my second year at Carlton Oaks. I am very excited to work at this fabulous school, with a fabulous staff and I especially adore the students. Before coming to Carlton Oaks, I taught at Cajon Park for 7 years. I also taught 2 yrs at Rio Seco and had an excellent experience there. Previously I taught 7th/8th grade science at Gompers Preparatory Academy for 2 yrs. Also, I taught 2 years of Early Admission Kindergarten in Lakeside. Before that I taught 2 years at California Virtual Academy. Also, I was a literacy support teacher at Lexington Elementary in El Cajon for 1 1/2 years. During the summers I have also run courses through College for Kids at Southwest Community College.
I am an Aztec Alumni. I completed my Bachelor's in Liberal Studies, Multiple Subject and Single Subject (General Science and Biology) Credential and my Master's in Reading and Language Arts with a Reading Specialist Credential at San Diego State University.
I have lived in San Diego almost all of my life and love East County. I have 3 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I like to explore San Diego, go to the movies, converse about anything and just have fun.
I use a lot of humor in my classroom and have found it makes students relax and enjoy class. I love teaching and am looking forward to a great year a Carlton Oaks!
